Description

I normally don't join Anthro groups, but... zombies.
Couldn't resist.

Edited the hair color so it no longer looked so bad with her fur.

Utility Sheet -
Roleplay Tracker -
Important info: She is blind, but has excellent hearing and other senses, so she isn't completely useless in a zombie-infested world.
- Name: Alexa Sadowski
- Nickname: Alex
- Gender: Female
- Age: 24
- Orientation: It's quite complicated, actually. She doesn't really see anyone in a sexual light, regardless of gender, but would take either gender as a boyfriend/girlfriend/SO purely for the companionship and comfort. Physical contact is extremely important to her, but not actual copulation, no matter what they have in their pants.

- Height: 5'7
- Weight: 121 lb
- Family:
Mother and Father - MIA, presumed dead
Brother - Roy - Deceased
- Place of Residence: The Hotel
- Starter Weapons: Hatchet

- Practical Talents:
Because of her blindness, her hearing and smelling abilities are far above normal. This is especially helpful as she can smell signs of infection from a safe distance away and detect good, clean water.
Additionally, she's quite a people person, and is good at telling people what they need to hear, making her an excellent tension diffuser.
Lastly, she's quite stealthy, if she knows where she's going. While an unexpected obstacle might trip her up, she can move undetected easily.
- Main Tasks:
+Water Collection: Alex is usually used in the testing process of water collection. She can tell the difference between good water and bad water, and can help when boiling it because she knows when it has been boiled enough.
+Caretaker: Although Alex can't literally keep an eye on children, her people skills makes it easy to handle them.
+Inventory Checks: Though she obviously can't do all parts of an inventory check, she can use her paws and whiskers to count items and also check if food is still good or not.
- Personality:
+Friendly: Alex likes people, and that's that. She likes to make them happy and likes to make friends. This makes her easy to get along with. Although her friendliness isn't for everyone, she still manages to make friends out of most of the people she meets. If some don't react too well to outright friendliness, she tries to win them over in other ways.
+Helpful: It's always been obvious to her that to have a harmonious community, everyone has to do their part. She tries to do above and beyond and lend a hand wherever she can, because she wants to make life in Anonymity good for everyone, not just her. So she always tries to be there.
+Loyal: Anonymity is Alex's home now, and she'll do anything she can to keep it running. Along with that, the people in the community saved her life, and without them she'd likely be one of them. She'd die rather than betray them, for this reason. The loyalty extends to her friends as well though. If she had to choose between her friends and the commander, she doesn't know who she'd side with.
=Quiet: Before she went blind, Alex was very outgoing. When she lost her sight, though, she stopped talking unless she was spoken to. She was afraid of angering anyone, fearful that if she got anyone mad, they could easily hurt her in their rage.
-Fearful: Without an entire sense, it's hard to miss things that are going on. She is terrified of being left in the dark when she can hear conflict around her, and she's afraid of people who can come up undetected.
-Touchy: She isn't particularly touchy about most things, but in the case of her blindness, she can get very snappy. She has no appreciation whatsoever for blind jokes, and often has angered people by thinking that an innocent comment was in some way aimed at her.
-Out of touch with self: Since she spends so much time trying to please others, she has lost touch with her self and no longer knows what she wants. She puts a lot more value in to learning things about other people than she does with learning stuff about herself, and that leads to a lot of internal conflict.
- History:
Alex was not born blind. In fact, she was generally healthy in every way. She was born to a middle-class family, in a fairly nice part of town. Her parents were happy to have their two children and never wanted any more. Her older brother, Roy, loved his younger sister and she loved him. They were a perfect carbon family. Sure, there were conflicts, but never anything major or family-rending. Alex was two years younger than her brother, and he taught her about the world. They attended the same school until he left for middle school, and then they went to the same middle school.
Roy loved to play sports. He was very athletic, generally classified in to the "popular" social group. Alex was never that sporty, but nonetheless she was healthy and strong. Where Roy was always the center of attention, though, cracking jokes and playing pranks, Alex preferred to read books. Eventually, through the influence of her brother, she began to talk to people more, and soon made a lot of friends. Roy taught her how to be a people person, and she continued using those social skills even after the apocalypse.
When Alex was fifteen, her parents left on vacation. Since their children were 15 and 17, they thought that they would be able to take care of themselves properly and left for two weeks to the tropics. Roy and Alex were happy to have them go. Their parents had been saving much of their lives for a nice vacation, and really deserved it. Also, Alex was glad for a chance to try and take care of herself.
While they were gone, though, the end came.
Not three days after they left, news began to spread of a strange disease that left cats infected and hungry. Cats began to prey on cats, and before long, the infection reached their neighborhood. When the zombies came knocking on the door, the two young cats had no choice but to leave. Roy had gone to camp a lot as a kid, and had many valuable survival skills. So he grabbed some necessary supplies and fled with his younger sister in tow.
As they left, Alex slipped. Her head slammed in to the porch step with a sickening thud and knocked her out. Roy freaked out, not knowing if she was dead or just unconscious. Fortunately, she was light, so he slung her over her shoulder and got to a safer house. There, he waited.
When eventually she woke up, she didn't know it. Roy didn't realize what was wrong until his sister woke up and began to panic. Alex knew Roy was there, could hear his voice, but couldn't see him. When eventually he managed to calm her down, they realized that she was blind. Whether it was temporary or permanent, neither knew, but they both knew their situation was bad. With an apocalypse brewing, blindness was the last thing they needed. Alex spent almost three weeks huddled in the corner, terrified for her life, while Roy kept an eye on the house. He was waiting desperately for his parents return, but as the days passed, he began to realize that they needed to move on. Whether or not their parents were alive, it was doubtful they'd be able to return to the house, and it was getting more dangerous by the day. Roy returned to his sister and did the only thing he could, teach her.
Blind or not, some survival skills could still be learned. Alex was terrified of what was out there, but above all was a will to survive, and so she learned everything she could. After a month of living with no vision, she had started to "see" things with her other senses, like her nose and ears. Unlike humans, a cat's other senses are strong, so she was actually able to get along quite well once she adjusted to the lack of vision. Still, she clung to the faint hope that her vision would return.
Alex led his sister out in to the wilds, and somehow they survived. They would sleep in trees and in sheds, sometimes in the parks or forests, sometimes in the city. They scrounged for supplies, which Alex turned out to be helpful in, what with her stronger nose. Eventually, Alex even learned how to use weapons. She started with blunt weapons, but soon found an axe that worked quite well. She was never as deadly as a sighted cat. It was still dangerous for her to be by herself, and so she clung to Roy at all times. In this way, they lived for five years.
When Alex was twenty and Roy twenty-two, the infection flared. One night, they found themselves closed in by the zombie cats that had ruined their lives. Somehow, they managed to escape, but Roy had been bitten. They didn't know what medicine to use to stop it, and before long, Roy was losing himself. In one of his last moments of lucidity, he realized that if he stayed with Alex, he would end up killing her too. He gave her the stuff and told her to hide, before running off in to the night.
Alex had no idea how to survive without a sighted cat to guide her. She stumbled away, somehow managing to avoid the infected. She lasted for a few weeks, but somehow lost her supplies one night after putting them down in the wrong place. For a day, she wandered, knowing that if she didn't find help soon, she would die. Then, like a miracle, cats appeared.
They claimed to be a supply group from a safe community. It was like magic. The cat who had scented her out first, Marley, helped lead her back to the place they called Anonymity, and finally, she was safe.
They were worried about her blindness at first, concerned she would be useless. She managed to prove her worth, though, with her sharp nose and ears. She could even go out on supply runs if she had other cats with her, and was great at finding food and other supplies.
